Are you interested in Sponsoring a Family?

Sponsor A Family MN is a non-denominational nonprofit organization that matches families in need with Sponsors who anonymously shop for them for the holidays.

All “in need” families are pre-approved by qualified pre-selected case managers, and truly need your help. Sponsors can be individuals, businesses, community organizations, churches, religious organizations or anyone who wants to help.

So how does it work?

Each year, selected case managers review their clients and pre-approve participation in the program. The clients fill out a “wish list” of 2-3 needed items, and are matched with kind-hearted Sponsors who shop for them for their needs. The second week of December, Sponsors drop their gifts at our warehouse location where they are picked up by grateful families the following weekend. The entire program is anonymous, providing the receiving families with the dignity they deserve.

Interested in helping? There are several ways to participate in the program.

*Sponsor a specific family (The core of the program)
Complete the form on our Sponsor Registration page and we will contact you by mid-November with the wish list of the family with which you have been matched. We will also provide you with Giving Guidelines along with the dates and directions for dropping off your gifts.

*Provide help for late registering families and emergencies (Critical to the program)
Purchase generic gifts, provide gift cards, or make a financial donation to the program which will be used for last minute families that do not get matched with specific sponsors. Please complete the form on the Sponsor Registration page,  or to make an online donation, please go to the Donate page.

* Volunteer (The fun and fellowship of the program)
Sponsor A Family MN is run entirely by volunteers and your support is welcome. We have opportunities in our office Oct- Nov and at the warehouse during gift distribution In December. Please complete the form on our Volunteer Registration page.

Sponsor A Family MN is a 501(c)(3) organization; all donations are tax deductible.
